The Kandinsky Quartet is internationally active and based in Vienna, founded in 2020. It won First Prize at the Gasteig Competition and is a prizewinner of the Verbier Festival Anniversary Prize, Mozart Competition Salzburg, the Genuin Classic Award and Third Prize at the International String Quartet Competition Bad Tölz. For the 2026?2028 seasons, the quartet was awarded the NASOM Prize.

The quartet currently studies with the Quatuor Ébène, Vera Martínez Mehner and Heime Müller, having previously worked with Johannes Meissl and Günter Pichler. Collaborations with artists such as Elisabeth Leonskaja, Nils Mönkemeyer, Asier Polo and Marie Chilemme have shaped its artistic development.

The quartet has performed at festivals such as the Festival d?Aix-en-Provence, Allegro Vivo, Wien Modern, Rheingau Festival, Venice Biennale, and Heidelberger Frühling and has been provided with siupport by Villa Musica, Ulysses Network, and Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland. For several seasons, the quartet has been an Ensemble-in-Residence of the Wiener ArbeiterInnenkonzerte.
